Looks pretty good Acer! You must have the patience of Job.

I wonder if 2QZQ would be interested in making these out of their breathable fabric they use for the UQP...

Needs a ridgeline. The only problem I can see is if you cop condensation - with the top cover tucked in, it will run down to the UQ.

I thought about that,,and only time will tell. If it does that,,then leave it outside and not tuck it in the inside of the UQP. But we are still talking, breathable material with the shiny side of Momentum on the outside and not inside. Just have to test and see.

Very good! Pretty much an HHSS with over cover for a JRB Bridge, except the bottom is breathable. I'm going to be real interested to see how much of an issue condensation is. The HHSS OC has a big vent that is right about face level, maybe ~6" in diameter.

Do you think that UQP has much or any water resistance, and is it supposed to be pretty wind proof? How about the TC material?

If there is any water resistance, a person could probably get by with a much smaller tarp, just like with the HHSS.

I think there is quite a bit of water protection as shiny side of Momentum 90 Mr is out and dull side is in, its breathable as well like the bottom UQP but having cuben tarp (hg 4 season) at 11.7 oz with all tie outs on it,,pretty much set deal on weight issues..will just have to see about condensation issues,,and if that is an issue, could open the head end up a dash I suppose. need to really test it out to see what the condensation issues are this coming cold season.

Bringing up an old thread, but has anyone tried a poncho liner over a BMBH UL?? I thought it would work well and maybe add a tie out on the top using shockcord to the center ring on each side. Similar to how the bugnet ties out on the WBRR.

Not that I can think of. I've spent many years in tents, and it didn't matter what time of the year it was, there was always a condensation issue to deal with, which is why I never wanted to give a top cover a try. A covered hammock is an even smaller space, and the amount of venting you need to deal with it, almost seems to defeat the purpose. If it's really that cold, I choose to hot tent, much more comfortable, and it only adds and extra 2lbs to my pack. The top cover really does seem like a great idea, but I just know I'll wake up wet or frosty if I tried it. I'm sure someone has had luck with it though....
