Glad you and Reggie got out there. You had a wonderful weekend of weather for it.
I believe where you came out on that road and could not find any other trail is the point where you just take the road around to the end of the trail. We've tried to find trail on that end before and just can't find any real hiking trail. If it was there it is gone now.
I would have rather been up there than at the ballgame last night -Feldman...
Going to try to sneak up there for 10-15 miles this next Saturday/Sunday. Don't tell anyone

Thanks for sharing the video. Looks like a great trail.
That black van looked pretty scary, I would have gone home if I saw that! lol Sure is a nice spot to hang! The second camp spot was top notch too. I bet Reg the dog slept well that night. Oh, yeah, a great view from the hammock you had there. A very relaxing video, Caveman, thanks for posting it!
Thanks for the vid, looked like good times.

The van was kinda creepy. I ran into the owner out on the trail and he seemed like a pretty normal dude? I guess he just likes vehicles that screem "Crazed Serial Killer"
I'd rate this trail as a medium difficulty. There are some pretty good hills.
It was a great weekend. The weather was pretty much perfect. It was damp all weekend, but it's been so dry around these parts that I didn't mind at all.
I will say that once you pass the 10 mile mark (The Rock Creek Resort Area) the trail is not well cared for and poorly marked. Most of the established camping areas are located in the first 5 miles of the trail. You have the Eagle's Nest at the 6 mile mark, but then there's really nothing else (especially for ground dwellers.) There was one small spot at the 9 mile mark, but other than that, you would be out of luck.

Thanks for the report. Great video.
My son lives in Mckinney Tx and we're always looking for someplace to hike when I go visit. This place is only an hour north of him. Awesome. Thanks for the heads up.
