    Greetings from NC

Just wanted to say hello! I stumbled upon a video by "Shug" on YouTube about a month ago. I think I've watched just about all of them by now. I already owned a hammock, an Eno singlenest that I would take camping to relax in during the day. I thought I owned every piece of camping gear known to man. I was sorely mistaken, in the last 3 weeks I've bought a bugnet, also eno, a set of Atlas straps and a Hennessy Hex Tarp. I'm already looking at under quilts and top quilts. I've also decided I now have to downsize much of my camping gear and I don't even backpack, I'm a car camper! I'd never heard of this thing called "hanging", but I aspire to one day be an expert!

Welcome from Monroe. It was funny because I don't have all the gear I want/need, but I thought I had at least what I needed to go backpacking... until I found out I was going to go into a different direction. I had just made a trip to REI garage sale and got 2 great deals on some tents. Yes I said tents. I now think maybe I will sell them for more hammock money.

I like to look at it like there are no experts, just varying degrees of people that know more then others. Expert seems so final. There are so many new things that pop up and other people take those and make them either better or at least better suited for themselves.
