    BWCA Wilderness, Minnesota

Hello- Just thought I would share a 5 day trip up in northern Minnesota. I canoed into the BWCAW (Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness). The fall colors are amazing, and wolves were singing all night long! Great time and a great place to hang if you really want to get away. I did not see a single person for all 5 days until I canoed out. bear hunt '12 clark lake 001.jpg

Favorite paddling I've ever done was a 2 week stint into Quetico from BWCA. Thanks for sharing your images(especially that panorama), I wasn't as camera savvy when I went and the waterproof disposables I carried didn't do the trip justice.

    BWCA and the Quetico

Also spent 10 days canoeing the Quetico last month. My favorite place to canoe and to fish. This was my 24th year and it still feels fresh and new.

I spent a week in the BWCA the last week of August. This was my 10th year I could spend all summer out there.

I am going up there this weekend (my first time). I can't wait to get up there. I have been packing and repacking my stuff, acting like a little kid (and driving my wife nuts) ))

What were the temps while you were up there? We had lows of 42 and 44 a couple nights we were up there.

I just got back from a 4 day trip to Brule lake, in the BWCA, last night. The over night temps. were close to freezing, but the day time temps were in the seventies and NO BUGS!
