    Loop turner from walmart worked best. I've tried the blue needles from WM, and the steel yarn needles from WM. They would be my top choice, but they are way too short.

    I prefer the floral wire with the plastic coating, but all the above work well

    Check out the craft wire at WM. 1 spool for a couple of bucks will last for a few lifetimes.
    Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

    In my splicing kit are found 2 loop or seam turners, one smaller than the other, a 4 pk. of large blunt needles, a length of wire used to make costume jewelry, about 20 guage I think, a double ended knitting needle, size US2 or 2.75mm and 7'' long. With this I splice 7/64 amsteel down to braided mason's line. I found that actual practice made more difference than the tool being used, but that said, the right tool makes it much easier.
