Underquilt for ridgerunner and wbbb

I've got a WBBB and basically sold my wife on the idea that this is awesome so now getting her setup with a hammock also. I've ordered her a ridgerunner and need to get it outfit with quilts.

I've got a HG 0* TQ/UQ and a 40* TQ/UQ. I was thinking of getting her a 20* setup so that if either of us goes solo we have a good selection. So I like the idea of a UQ that can fit any hammock.

If I were to get a Lynx, would that work on the WBBB or other hammock? Would the Pheonix 20* be a good fit for the ridge runner?

From what I've seen on here is that any quilt will fit the rr just fine. JRB put up some pictures of a clever way to fit a full sized uq on the rr. You could always call up a made-to-order quilt guy like Paul from Underground Quilts to make one slighty more narrow to fit the rr well, yet still works on other hammocks.

I'm thinking about selling my incubator for the lynx, but I too am wondering how well it would work on a regular hammock?

The lynx could work on a regular hammock, but it's really narrow at the shoulders, really narrow at the waist, and REALLY narrow at the feet... I think it would be hard to maintain coverage.

the lynx wouldn't work well on end gathered hammocks, but it fits the RR like a glove and is quite a bit lighter and less bulky than quilts designed for end gathered hammocks. this is mainly because since you don't lay diagonal in a bridge, you don't need that extra width like you do with a quilt designed for an end gathered hammock. the full-length 3-season lynx is only about 17oz while the 52" torso version (3-season) is just under 13oz, so there's weight savings to be had by going this route, i suspect the lynx would/could be made to work on other bridge hammocks as well, but haven't tried

The JRB underquilts especially the mt Washington Series will fit and work well any hammock including thye WBRR for those like OP who want UQ that will work on any of their multiple hammocks.

Te-Wa, not a physically big guy, has for years been making under-quilts that are narrower than others'. They are 40" wide.

I tried my full-length Lynx on my 11' Bias WW tonight, and while it worked better than I thought it would, it's still not very usable without modification. Using a Shug-style shock cord suspension, laying on a slight diagonal, I was warm from my upper back to my feet. My upper back was cold because the Lynx isn't designed to snug up to a gathered-end hammock, so there was a big gap there letting cool air in. The quilt is also quite narrow, so there wasn't much wiggle room at all.

Perhaps the Lynx could be modded to work on a gathered end, but I'm content just using it on my RR.
