When you apply the seam sealant, whatever the variety, do you apply it from the inside or the outside of the tarp? Mine just developed a slight leak right along the ridgeline seam this weekend during a pounding rain. Mine's a bearpaw wilderness designs 9.5x9' tarp.

Silnet works really well on silnylon. I use painters tape for guidelines and it makes for a cleaner finish with straight lines. Wait silnylon! Who uses that heavy stuff anymore? Haha. jK everyone
I think when you buy a tarp it should come seam sealed.

If you ever do the DIY its a good feeling. I have a cuben tarp but sometimes I still carry my sil tarp instead just because I'm proud of it. lol
I need to buy a sewing machine. Then learn how to thread it. Then learn how to use it. Then buy the supplies. Then attempt to make stuff. After all that I hope I am proud whether its in one piece or not. Maybe by then I can afford Cuban. Right now sil seams high. I am so jealous of those use have all the goodies. I know it takes time and that's part of the goodness of the whole process. It makes me feel like a kid again. Can't wait for Christmas. In the past I would feel guilty wanting or buying something, but all this stuff I get is in pairs. My son loves this as much( maybe not as much) as me.
I just finished making a new sil tarp. Just bought some silicone to seal the ridgeline. What a timely thread.
