    Single or double?

I have a Blackbird that I wouldn't trade for anything, but I'm looking to lighten my load (and bulk) a bit for summer trips. I've been looking at Eno, Grand Trunk, and Treklight hammocks. I'm 6'3" around 285. Can I get by with a single?

    Thanks.

I would say so. I'm 6'4" and 360lbs, and I have a double and it's got gracious plenty superfluous fabric when I lay in it. You should be able to get by with a single. YMMV

I also use a BB double (6ft 2 & 275 lbs) and I decided to go with extra weight as a good nights sleep is worth it to me. I have been able to cut back in other areas so it all evens out as my base pack weight is for a week trip is 18 lbs before water and food
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I wouldn't bother with an ENO single. We have one that my 11 year old daughter uses. I'm 6ft 240 and I wouldn't feel stable in it for an overnight. Lounging around it's fine. I've had a double that is very roomy.
