    Easier still - forget the locked brummell and just sew a few stitches by hand into the bury when done. The only function the brummell or stitches have is to keep the bury from falling out while unloaded.

    Also, I think I read somewhere that stiching derates your rope less than a locked brummel. If I am wrong, would someone please post or PM me so I don't pass-on bad info.
