    Digging the holes for the 6x6's was hard enough, I can't imagine digging holes for telephone poles. And 4 feet at that. Phew......

    If you know someone in the electrical industry with access to a digging truck... They usually can find an excuse to take it home... It will take them 10 minutes to drill a hole...

    Or sometimes Lowe's will rent out the gas powered post hill diggers with a big enough bit to do a post that size...

    Farmers usually have the post hole digger attachment for a tractor that will usually do the job even if you have to widen it with a manual post hole diggers...
