DIY Tablecloth hammock or Byer Traveller Lite

I am thinking about getting another hammock and I can't decide if I should make it or buy it. I am looking at the Byer Traveller lite ($15.93at REI) or maybe a DIY Tablecloth hammock. I do not want to spend alot of money because I am also looking at purchasing an UQ to be used with the new hammock and my HH.

Hmmm ... Either would be fine. With the REI purchase, what you spend would go toward your annual dividends. With the table cloth 1) it is already hemmed making for a quick and easy DIY and 2) there are plenty of color options. Cost is going to about the same no matter which one you chose.

Which ever way you go, a picture from the trip is required.

The Byer Traveler Lite is a 9' hammock. I would go with a DIY tableclothsfactory hammock and get it a bit longer. You can get the 60x126 or the 90x132 for a nice long hammock. Good luck. HYOH

    Thanks

I guess I will be ordering a tablecloth when I get home tonight. I will attach pictures when I complete the project.

Good call! When you go the DIY route you get the bragging rights that go with it

    Good luck and enjoy!

If it looks good it will be a great conversation piece at the next Boy Scout campout. I may even get some of the scouts of the ground.

I went with a Burgundy 60x126, it turned out pretty nice. I'm going to swap out the suspension lines, the braided cord I used is only rated to 300 lbs.
