Worst part of Hammocking, Well that's an easy one for me

Having to get out of my Hammock in the morning.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

smashdn, all I can say is down booties and a pillow under your knees, then you won't want to get out of the hammock. Good luck.

Ok, it started to rain, the mosquitoes are terrible and the little dog ran off with both my flip flops...

    Rain shmain...the trees provide cover
Who needs shoes in a hammock
And hey, it was time to try out the IEGNS ( inverted eno guardian net setup ) anyway...

I think i have the ridgeline a little too tight...better lay here a bit longer and recalculate geometry...let's see, pi is 3.14... A squared plus B squared equals, uh this could take a while...

My entire camping party has converted to hammocks and I've found that I miss the social space that a tent provides when their are days of rain. A tent is a good place to play cards or other games when yer hunkering down for weather. Now everyone goes to their respective hammocks and takes a nap.

Sounds like a job for a mega tarp...that or a really really big hammock.

Dang, skies are looking like they are about to open up.

Any cottage vendors within an easy drive of BurlCo NJ? And have a tarp in stock?
Hmmm, any cottage vendors within an easy drive of BurlCo NJ that deliver??
Ok, any cottage vendors, within an easy drive of BurlCo NJ, that deliver, have tarps in stock, willing to demo the easy of tarp setup and then willing to show themselves out?? I'm really comfortable...

Ah, another siesta in the books.
Had to rush the take down...and now I really do need a tarp.

And somehow, the SLS w/ structural ridgeline and tarp bundled into a python skin is making sense for rapid siesta deployment situations.

Yup, need to work my RSDS skills or there will be yet another downside to add to the list...

When you've chosen to not stealth camp, and set up in a crowded camp ground. You can't take a nap because all the ground dwellers are wandering to your camp to check out your foreign contraption and ask " Is that comfortable, can i try it out?"
