New Hanger from Sydney, Australia

G'day guys,

I've been wheeled and dealed and brought over to the dark side. Actually there was little effort in the arm bending. My girlfriend's brother (they're French) first brought to my notice the Hennessey Hammock and I believe right from the moment my eyes landed on a hammock for camping... well, I'll have to break it straight to you no holds barred... I got pretty excited! Like silly excited. After 6 months of watching every channel I could find on Youtube about it, and most of them from the lovely folks on this forum (THANK YOU GUYS YOU ARE MY HEROES) I finally got out there and got myself one. And learnin' about everything else, such as my alcohol stove and screen etc.

I have to take a breath cause its getting emotional! HA! I love it, simple and plain, it makes me an extremely happy man.

I've been hiking my legs off up and down the Great North Walk over here in NSW. Its got some fantastic spots, and beautiful scenery. Planning on going to the Blue Mountains and down south, and maybe all the way south to Tasmania too. One day, if I'm lucky, I'll even get myself over to the States and try out the Superior and the AT. Now that's a goal I've set!!

Thanks for the welcome. And yes, if you can't see it, it never happened - and sometimes that's a GOOD thing! ;-P

I've started a couple of photos on an album, I'll expand from there. But if you look up my name on Youtube I have a few basic videos up too. UNfortunately none of them are hammocking specific yet, more hiking and cooking, but I'll put up hammock videos asap!

Sounds good mate. Definitely plenty of spectacular places down here. I am only new to the state but I am constantly in awe.
