Question: HH Survivor Asym / Jungle

I have two hammocks: HH Survivor Asym / HH Jungle.

    Noob:

Tried both out in the garage. Jungle really comfortable / Survivor hard, stiff in the middle and not really comfortable at all.
I thought for sure the survivor would be the bomb... At least that is what I was hoping and paid the high dollar for. Should I give up on the survivor?

The jungle I bought of the forum "New / used" and was really comfortable (little smaller than the Asym). I am 250# 72"

Am I doing something wrong in the Survivor? I don't know what I could be doing wrong though... I had zipper mods done from 2QZQ which shouldn't effect it.

My next purchase is the WB as soon as I am done typing... I hate to buy the hammocks just to find out that there not the one thats going to work for me.

I know that I am not giving the Asym a fair chance by laying in it for 10-15 Minutes but, you should know comfort right off the bat. IMHO.

    Any advice?

Spend a few nights in each of them outdoors first before you make any decisions, might be that you just haven't found the sweet spot yet. Camp close to home so that you can bail easily if it really doesn't work out.

    Hey Roger,
I also have the HH/Survivor, and the HH/Explorer Deluxe Classic. Gotta agree with ChillinOut, you really need to get it out between some trees, instead of the garage.
My Survivor is the most comfortable I own. As you pointed out, the HH/Jungle is smaller, maybe just need to tweak your angles. Also since the fabrics are different:
HH Survivor Asym - Hammock fabric: 70D high thread count (160 x 90) nylon taffeta
Hammock dimensions: 108'' long x 56" diag. wide

HH Jungle - Hammock fabric: Two layers of 30D Nylon66 with polyester reinforced ripstop
    Hammock dimensions: 100" long x 48" wide
I find the taffeta, with the higher thread count, to have a much better feel than the ripstop. Like ChillinOut said, you just need to get the sweet spot, with proper sag and spread. Hope it works for you, lovin mine. By the way, how is the "Mod4"? 2QZQ are definitely on my to do list.

It does take a little practice / experience to hang any hammock to optimal comfort perfection.

Thank you for the info, it is greatly appreciated.
I had the Mod 4 zipper done on the hammock and love it... Of course I have not used it much but, I do like being able to pull back the netting. They are great folks to deal with. I have already ordered more stuff from them and will be sending my WB hammock to them for mods.

Thank you again for the input.

ZQ here....just a comment...we don't do any modifications to the Warbonnet hammocks. We have sewn our doors on the WB tarps, or sewn the door kit doors to the WB tarp.
