No. This was actually very sad for me as probably 75% of the hikers who were around me had family meet them at Baxter.Did you have family waiting for ya at the end?
I was planning on summitting the following day, but I couldn't sleep with the angst of anticipation. So I left at 3 am, forded 2 rivers with barely the suggestion of daylight from the sun, and summitted with the group of twenty somethings who provided the champagne at the top.
I was the near the back of the bubble.
So when I summitted, all the twenty somethings were chanting,
"Dos! Dos! Dos!" (my trail name).
It brought tears to my eyes and I did not feel at all alone.
