That's Awesome. This is on my "to do" list....if I'm ever jobless and divorced!

Maybe when I'm retired (if the wife is still as understanding as she is now?)

No. This was actually very sad for me as probably 75% of the hikers who were around me had family meet them at Baxter.
I was planning on summitting the following day, but I couldn't sleep with the angst of anticipation. So I left at 3 am, forded 2 rivers with barely the suggestion of daylight from the sun, and summitted with the group of twenty somethings who provided the champagne at the top.
I was the near the back of the bubble.
So when I summitted, all the twenty somethings were chanting,
"Dos! Dos! Dos!" (my trail name).
It brought tears to my eyes and I did not feel at all alone.
