The camper formerly known as HikingDad...
Bummer. I had been keeping an eye on this thread hoping I could make a group hang this fall. But, it's hunting season and I have to slam some deer.
Have a blast out there and I'm looking forward to seeing the report!

I have a buddy that says he's going to come along. We've never been to the park before, so we'll let you Yellow River veterans have all the say on where we're sleeping.
What can we expect for water availability? Will I need my filter?
Looking forward to my first HF hang!
Put me down as a maybe.
If I can wrangle the time off at work, I'll be there. My Iowa hang got cut short a day last year so I'd like to meet the folks I missed. If we set up at Brown's hollow we can stage a few cars close by with water etc. Likewise with Camp Shultz at the fire tower and Heffron hill at the river access area. Camp wendel is the smallest, prettiest but no close car access. It has a pond as a water source. Yellow River is a beautiful spot.
OK I'm in, I got Friday the 9th off work. Haven't been to Yellow River in awhile. Did a winter hang there with JerryW and Keys a couple years ago. Nice area...looking forward to it!
