Water at Glen Wendal is lousy and Shoultz is dry. Best to bring it in. There is water available at the park headquarters on the side of the building. The trail head for Glen Wendal is right around the corner from there. We plan on going back to our vehicle Friday morning to move it over by Hefferns Hill for an easy retreat Sunday morning so we will be back at the headquarters to water up again if need be.

I was just eyeballin' the map, so where is it you'll be parking over by Hefferns Hill? Is it where it says Equestirian Campgrounds on the map?

There is a small parking area past the equestrian campground by the stream right where the trail heads up to Heffern's hill.
We are going to move our vehicle there and hike back to John Shultz on Friday.

I'm gonna park really close and ill be bringing about 7 gallons of water for people to use...I've also got 2lbs of bacon to share on Saturday morning! Looking forward to it!

Looks as if I am going to make a break for Iowa and leave out from home/work-camp in a bit..........
Saturday morn I will head for home to be back for a function with my wife.
Be good to get some hang time. Looks easy as well.

I'll be there Sunday night for sure. I was going to head out today but work was in the way and I just now got my Saturday covered. I will try to be out there by 10...ish
