Bottle Opener as Marlin Spike Toggle?

I have a bunch of those small aluminum bottle openers lying around.... Do you think they are strong enough to work as a toggle for my Marlin Spike Hitch on Tree Straps?

I know that people use the Mini Caribiners and even sticks, so I thought this could work as well.

    Thanks,
    Erik

If you can break/bend them with one hand then no. Otherwise knock yourself out. There are people on here who have used ball point pins successfully.

Just position them so that you can still open your bottles

Also, you should probably be in the hammock when the bottles get opened--there is a direct correlation to the number of bottles opened and hammock entry failure.
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

I am very happy that these should work, and I won't go thirsty.
I have been cruising the forum for months, and have finally developed (what I believe to be)a good system. Thank you so much HF!!!

I will be hanging for the first real time this weekend.
