    Cool Hello from Illinois

I completed my first hammock hang in September in the Porkies, I went all out on my first purchase Blackbird Hammock, Superfly tarp! Thank goodness I loved it and will continue! I just bought my top quilt and waiting to buy my under quit. Rookie mistake should have bought under quilt first. Any way Illinois especially the suburbs of Chi-town doesn't seem the most hammock friendly place so it looks like I'll be driving. If there are hangs coming up keep me posted and I'll keep checking the announcements

Welcome! Like they said, the I&M canal gets hit often and it's fun because there's a couple mile hike to get to it. Not too far but just enough to leave the world behind. Also some hanging in southern WI at times but it would be a drive.
Get lost in the woods and find yourself again. A vacation,to me, is working with your hands and surviving because of the fruits of your labor. In the business world I teach;in the natural world I learn.

It's not the porkies... but for a quick trip the I&M is a nice surprise that few folks realize is there.
Welcome to the site- hope to see you out there!
