I will be there some time Saturday morning with one of my friends.
Bonepile, what color is the huge tarp?
I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
Another few questions I have for the group. Do any of you that are coming have a cuben tarp. And the other one is does anyone have either a Zpacks or ULA backpack?That you would be willing to bring.
I am looking at buying a cuben tarp and of the packs above in the spring but want to get my paws on them before I shell out that kind of money.

Anyone up for a hike Sat. mourning, we could do a 8 mile loop on the Uwharrie Trail.

Both my tarps are SpinnUL which is lighter than Silny but heavier than Cuben. I do have ULA pack I will bring.

I will bring some firewood also.

The Dutchman is also a great hike (and less traveled). There's an entrance right there by Yates Place

I'm up for whatever the group wants to do. Haven't been on either. I've been in the Birkhead Wilderness on those trails but not in the Uwharries.

The 2 trails are laid out like a figure "8". From Yates Place you can pick up the Uwarrie trail south to the top of the "8", then do the loop.
