yep, it REALLY PISSES ME OFF that i just bought one at full price a couple months ago, and its the same color they are trying to unload.
We used to wear ones like that when we were kids, but made of fleece, they're REALLY easy to make, my sister made some for home-ec class once.

moski, ordered the balaclava yesterday along with other sale items. Sorry didn't see your posting until now. The wool knit X/C ski hats which I have a dozen of (popular give aways at X/C races here in the USA) just was not ideal for when using a top quilt in sub 0C conditions. Curious to see how small it packs down to. The 60gm weight is reasonable. Should be warmer than the hat or even a hat and silkwt balaclava. Total shipping was $11.20 to my zip for a 2kg package. Don't consider that too outrageous.

You can see several pictures of the modification I made to the 90 Balaclava in my gallery (page 3).
I added a separating zipper to the front. Gives a much greater comfort range.
PS... don't let the red jacket fool you. I should have taken it off to demonstrate the modified balaclava.
