I haven't heard of Adam ever using Climashield. That sounds like a red flag in itself.

My thoughts as well. In the thread there was no mention that it was an HG Phoenix, just that the size and fit were the same. The PM doesn't jive with the thread and seems to indicate it is an HGP, but at the same time makes me wonder if he meant to say it was a Phoenix clone but had a brainfart and didn't communicate that correctly. "Custom" can mean both special-order or DIY, so again kinda iffy. I also find it tough to believe that a donating member with a solid amount of community participation would try to pass off a DIY job as an HG job, something that would be immediately apparent as soon as the purchaser failed to find any HG tags on it.

At any rate, I think the seller was ambiguous enough that he should honour a refund, honest mistake or not.

I thought the same and also I have never seen a camo HG UQ and I replied to the PM above saying I didn't know HG offered a camo shell and he replied it was custom.I also know HG will make custom quilts so I figured they requested Climashield...

Yeah, I didn't think of that. Makes perfect sense.

Who ever did that to you is a thief pure and simple. Assuming he knew it wasn't authenticate when he sent it. His mac should be banned or else you guys need to enter the thunder dome - two men enter one man leave

CatSplat he has tried to sell it before and I didnt see that post till today. The post I bought it from had the following description.

3/4 Under Quilt specs:

Channeled Suspension: 40" wide x 47" long, (5)7.5" Down channels with 1.5 oz of 800fp down + (2)3" channels with 2.5oz climasheild(these are the side channels, kind of a draft tube you could say). Baffles are no-seeum. 1/8" shock cord with cordlocks included. Differential cut from side to side. Weighs in at 20oz. With 4" of loft.

no mention of it being a clone.. maybe it was a brain fart on his part and he has appoligized for it . And I simply chose not to pursue a refund because I have been through hard times and they aren't fun.

I beg to differ, I have an Incubator, a Phoenix and a Burrow, all in camo. But HG does do request, so as for the Climashield, its possible. I'll see if I have a pic on here o one of my quilts from HG

The seller doesn't have FS access any longer, so this is all sort of going in circles now.
