    Ahhh,,just burn it with a bic and hang on...Amsteel is tough stuff enough to use on winches of my 4 x 4 Jeep and when it frays a dash I just melt it and keep using it and it has never broken yet. I wouldn't worry myself,,but if it bothers you,,replace it for peace of mind I guess.
