    Looks like "Expanded PTFE" wins on both measures.

    I wonder what the "Expanded PTFE" tested was, since "Gore-Tex materials are typically based on thermo-mechanically expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)...".

    Not sure, Goretex may not be light, but I was looking at their newer products, and they seem to be doing pretty well with the military. Also noticed they have some new camo pattern http://www.optifade.com/hunting-gear...ex-fabric.html

    I wonder if the expanded PTFE is just the basic teflon layer not laminated to any fabric - sort of a baseline best permeability standard, but not strong enough by itself to use in the field. The other test materials all seem to have commercial product names associated with them.
