The Kek is a harsh mistress

When doing the Kek thru-hike 4 years ago, came across a party going the other direction and one of the hikers had a seriously bloody and whacked knee. The Kek is a harsh mistress.

The Border Route is even worse to follow...

You need to come down to AZ some time and do a section of the Grand Canyon with Derek and me. No roots and logs to trip over here. Just rattlers, scorpions, gila monsters, ...

Glad to hear things are quiet in your sector.

The Snowbird was tough. Very rocky but wonderful.
May take you up on that someday. But I don't do heat well.

Ah! Good ol' misdirection...an old friend of mine! Not a worry though, you were well prepared, had the right gear, compass and such, handled things well! Great fall colors, mixed in with a little pickin' and singing, really makes a fellow want to get outside. Sorry to hear about the knee, just found out mine is tore up as well, bit of a wreck on the Tumbler hike last year, caught up to me now. Take care of those limbs, and can't wait to watch part 2!

    Cheers

Great to see you back at it Shug. There's a great part at 1:54 where you just pan the camera around at the scenery and there is complete silence save for the wilderness. Not that I don't love your comedy and commentary but it was just such a beautiful scene. Thanks for taking us along the Kek.

That was a memorable moment on the trail. Always wonder if folks really like those kinda long shots.

I think you need to get out on the trail more often, Mr Shug! It has been LONG over due and it shows (battery indicator flashing red). Don’t make me start worrying about you! P.S. I’m very excited to get a video, or 4, from you, it’s been a while too long! Kekekabic is fun to say. Onward you hike and on to your next video for me!
