    Reflective Ripstop?

I decided I want to try out a weather barrier under my hammock, and thought I might as well make it our of reflective ripstop. DIY gear had some a few weeks ago, but it's been taken of their site. I emailed them to ask about it, or if they know where I can get some, but they have not responded. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on this stuff?

FWIW...Reflective films only reflect radiant heat if they are very close to your skin and can do the job before the radiant heat is absorbed by other materials. It won't help if you are going to place it outside of an UQ for example so you might as well use plain material for your barrier.

Yeah - it only works when it's close to your body. Use a DWR 1.1 ripstop for the under cover. It will block wind and keep water splash off your hammock. If you get a water proof material, be aware it may cause condensation problems as it will be like a vapor barrier. I have a sock and an under cover and have been lucky to not have any condensation problems. I use 1.1 DWR ripstop.
