I was lead to beleive that hammocks were lighter and less bulky methods of camping. Now I am not so sure.
No doubt I could lighten my set-up. The DL 1.7 could go to a single 1.7 or 1.1. The big hex tarp to a smaller sil tarp. Ditch the mummy bag for a tq.
But realisticly how much weight shaving would that be? I can't really quantify the savings in volume so I just have to assume that it will come with the weight savings.
