I got the whoopieslings and so far I am pretty happy. And I was able to repurpose one of the extra whoopies w/ Dutch hooks into a nifty hanger for my platypus gravity filter.

i know i might be in the minority here.....but.....
after using whoopie slings for a year and a half on my hammock i ordered a wbbb with the webbing suspension and like it better than whoopies....and quite a bit better to be honest
i find adjustment easier, i can hang in a wider variety of tree distances, no tree straps to forget, and i find setup and take down quite a bit quicker.....but like i said, i know i'm in the minority

i use straps, dutch clips and rings. all one piece and easy to adjust with mittens on. i have all the others, carry this on long hikes.

I like the Warbonnet straps a lot, too, Boothill. But now I have two suspensions, working on a third, and only one hammock!

I'm so glad that this doesn't just happen to me. I changed aspects of my suspension three times before I finally said to myself that I [B]Had[B]to leave it alone. Now I just make DIY's for the family and friends while I consider the possibilities... Though I've moved on to messing with tarps now. :P
I think the stock suspension on the WBBB works great but found it to be bulky and heavy. I still have it and plan to use it on the DYI hammock I am making for my wife. She doesn't backpack so it doesn't really matter to her and I think she will appreciate the ease of setup. (Though I am sure I will be the one hanging it for her anyway. )

where i hang we need fairly long tree straps and when i minus out the weight of those along with the whoopies, the stock wbbb suspension is almost identical in weight, that being said i could probably make some lighter trees straps an see a little weight savings, but you are right, it is a little bit bulkier
