I'm looking for a good quality set of hiking poles with the camera mount inserts to use as spreader bars for my new WB Ridgerunner. They must be able to accept the screw-on adapters being sold on the Warbonnet website.

what is the thread 1/4-20 ?
"Tenting is equivalent to a bum crawling into a cardboard box, hammocking is an art" KK
On Brandon's site it says it is a 1/4" camera mount threaded bolt and that on some hiking poles the handle unscrews to expose the bolt. The part he sells has female threads and screws onto the bolt located on the hiking pole.
I believe I read in another thread that it was 1/4-20.

Might want to look at the Pole Cat hiking/shooting stick by Stoney point. Different models and the heads unscrew for a camera mount. They also come in a longer length for more adjustability.
I don't have a RR yet, but I do have an idea about this. How wide is the stock head end spreader bar? if it is less than 36" or so, you do not need to use all three sections of the trekking pole, and then this opens up some options for an adapter. Also what is the tip size for ends of the stock spreader bar?
