    is it just me?

i got back last week from a month of kayak fishing and camping thru the Gulf of carpenteria in Australia.
during this trip i used a clark nx-150 every night, which i found to be excellent and beyond reproach for comfort.
the problem is, now im home im finding the bed to be uncomfortable and im waking with lower back pains.

is it just me, do i need a period of readjustment or should i just set up the hammock out back and jump in?

You've joined a band of hammock full timers! Congratulations.

(not possible for me, unfortunately, but I sleep in 'hammock ways' in the bed and feel better.)
my hammock gear weights total: 2430g (~86oz)

Seems to be a common theme. Out for an extended stay in the hammock and a bed just doesn't feel right when you start layingin one again.

That's how it all started for me. I was doing some testing with me hammock a few nights and before I knew it, I was full timing...

For the record anytime I spend more than 1 night in my hammock, it takes me a few days to get accustomed to sleeping in a bed again.

Wife already nixxed the idea of a hammock in the bed room, even though it would fit perfectly on my side of the bed.

I know of at least one guy who has a hammock hung over his side of the bed. The arrangement has worked for him and the wife for many years.

    okay, just an update...

last night, Oshtrayliyan time, i spent mh first night sleeping in a hammock at home.
set up tied to the patio poles.
Now this isnt my camping nx150 hammock i spent the last month in the Northern Territory, this was a cheap 30 dollar( u want 'appy finish) actually quiet good quality cheap hammock.

i shall say it wasnt as comfy as the clark....but hey, i havnt used it as much and the comfort value may change with usage....
also it isnt as "long term" as a clark....or hh or bb or major "minor"brand
it IS ok as a cheapy!!!!

    it HAS!!!!!

CONNVINCED ME THAT HAMMOCKING<---- READ THAT!!!!

    hammocking is right for me.....

after 4 weeks doin it tuff in a clark, i come home to a cumfy bed that just shits me and causes pain!!!!
i mkean 2 weeks ive put up with it!!
but now ive set up with a cheapo hammock and i admit, when i go home, there WILL bve eye bolts out the wall.......there WILL be hammocking bliss in the lovin room!!!!
