does anybody know the absolute cheapest place to obtain some flexible tent poles that I can use to build an arch to support the tarp? Walmart sells replacement Coleman poles, but it is $10 for about 8 feet worth of them, and some of my ideas could use significantly more than 8 feet worth.

Caught me right at midnight Mustardman but my first thought was collaspible fiberglass fishing poles tip to tip with the tips inside a flexible tubing say 4' long? Just a thought. Good night, will think on it some more in the hamock.

Absolutely outstanding, Mustardman! I did a Turtledog stand out of 1X1 with pipe for the ridge, and don't trust it, unfortunately. I'll switch to the total pipe stand soon!
