I seem to remember there being showers available for a fee somewhere. Could somebody give me some detailed information (name of the place, how far away, directions, how much it costs, etc) so I can put it up on the FL hangers information page for this hang?

    Thanks

I concur on the fire building and knives. I know we have some experts in the group.

I believe for showers they went to Juniper. Gumbo can tell us for sure.

Not that I'm aware of... but I can deliver the baby because I've seen childbirth before and last night I slept in a hammock

I can hear it now... "ok everybody, get your dutch ovens, I need some boiled water!"

Leaving out last year I noticed a private campground heading south and thought that I would check on the possibilty and fees on the way up.

I'll try to stay in a Holiday Inn Express before the hang.

I know it would help me out a bit if there were a few more specifics in the spreadsheets (where will the hiking/kayak trips be for a given day, what is the planned meal and are there needs for any of the meals). I don't know if we can get specific yet but I know that it would help me if I knew a bit more.

I know that most of this is a bit like trying to herd cats... so I might just have to deal with it being a bit vague

    Hey all.
I've worked out a few on & off details and will be attending the FL3 hang. Thought for a while not being able to make it.

I'll be there, Friday, Saturday, Sunday mid-day.

As for Showers info. Last years' hang we drove to Alexander Springs Campground, about 10-15 minute drive, paid an $8-10 fee and were able to take hot-showers and do a general clean-up for a few hours. Well worth the money. Its a nice campground.
