    Question about Two UQs

Would a 40* 3/4 length UQ and a 20* full length one used together get a man down to 0* of comfort?

My 20* Marmot SB modification is 54" wide at the head/torso area and could easily fit around the smaller one. Has anyone tried this sort of thing?

It's been done many times. The trick is to get both UQs snugged up to each other and the hammock without compressing the insulation in the top quilt.

Been thinking about a Jarbridge synth quilt then a 20* Incubator overthat. The Jarbridge shouldnt suffer the compression problem.

Cost wise to get both is as much or kore than a full length 0* but on the flipside you have summer and fall quilts and combined cold weather "quilt".

Might work but you would still need something under your legs/feet like a pad. Test it first.

It works well. Here is a picture of my buddy Timmy...took him on a real cold -19º trip and had a full JRB Hudson River TQ/UQ 20º under him with my DIY 3/4 UQ 25º over that. Then the parka I had him take and zip that over the footboy.
    No complaints from him!

    Cool! Thanks, guys!

The use of the parka answered the one concern I had, Shug. Thanks!
