Couldn't ask for better conditions. 30c during the day, 4c at night (frost in the mornings). The water was like glass everyday except on Sunday afternoon when the winds whipped up 2 to 3 foot waves. Luckily we were not doing any serious paddling that day, just fishing but we got off the water in time. Never caught a thing, nobody on the lake was having any luck. By the way, can anyone spot the classic piece of equipment in one of these pics?? No prize, just testing your powers of observation.
It was my buddy's first real hammock outing. He had no real issues, just the usual tweaking to try and get everything dialed in. People at the campsites were amazed at our set ups, having never really seen anything like it. He even had a deer poke his head under his tarp during the night. Never saw any other critters although there were some bear warnings around and we did talk with someone who did see a black bear at the far end of the lake.
It was a great weekend, hopefully not the last of the year!!
