Not sure if this helps but I've seen some threads recently on tent footprints as an alternative. Cost is right.

I did a lot of searching online and found an ultra-light Equinox 10x12 for around $78.00. I got it almost a exactly a year ago. Lots-o-googling and you'll find some incredible deals.
