I updated the spreadsheet. I am not sure how we are cooking (I use an Emberlit now as a camp stove-thanks to Skypainter), I know as a group, but, will people have some cast iron skillets, as this is a car-type campout? I dont have any-but, we ALL know cast iron cooking in winter is THE BEST food

This is what I am hoping to have. 1 propane canister 3 coleman burner tabletop stove, 2-4 dutch ovens, and 2 propane double burner larger stoves. this is all from my scout troop trailer which I will have on site. Plus there will be a tripod or two one for the meat and another for hot water and coffee.

I would also like if people could put down roughly WHAT time they will be showing up. that would be great. This will help me plan things out. Also while the area that we are camping in will hold all of comfortably I am not sure that the parking will. This is not an issue because there is additional parking on another part of the camp. I just want you aware of it. You will be able to come in with your car drop everything off and setup, there might be a possibility, we will have to shuttle people back from the other parking. we will see how it goes.

I can bring my cast iron skillet and Coleman 2 burner propane stove as well. I was even thinking about bringing a grill and some charcoal for burger/brat/steaks. Let me know what you would like me to bring.

I don't have anything for car camping, only backpacking stuff. I may just bring something already prepared to eat.

Old Soldier, here is my answer from before. Please remember that this is a family event, and to respect that.

Thanks. That was my intent. Good food, a good pipe full of aromatic cherry tobacco, and simply a nice scotch to bring out the flavor of the tobacco. Nothing outrageous. Promise

So I was speaking to my son and mentioned this hang, he said he'd be interested if there are young adults around his, age 17 yrs old. To top it it off he wants to know when I'm going to get him a winter quilt for his HH Expedition. I just bout the bloody hammock and now he wants to winter hang.

Old soldier I trust ya. 😉

Fishbait that is too funny. I understand I bought 4 hammocks in about 3 months. Then it was getting all the goodies. I can't help with the young adults though. Sorry.

I will be bringing a two-burner propane stove as well, a cast iron Dutch Oven, several backpacking stoves, both wood burning and alcohol, and a large chunk of a goat..and maybe a couple of rabbits and a bag of potatoes and several pounds of bacon to cook. This should be a feast!!
