Hi guys. Just watching from the sidelines. Hope to make it to a spring event!

(like all else, it's on the "after treatment" list. That's coming up quick; last one on Jan 9!)

I've been having temperature side effects, so I'm a little leery of sleeping on the ground in January right now. (Yeah, I'm the outlier - still tenting away. Change is coming, though.)
I prefer to remain an enigma.

Snow! YES! Maybe I can finally get to try using the Pulk I built, or the three different sets of snowshoes I got last year!!

Wife combined birthday and Xmas and gave me a 0* TQ and UQ set from Hammock Gear, which has already shipped, but I can't pickup until the 3rd! Hafta dial that in at the hang!

I also picked up a sweet little 8" Lodge Cast Iron Skillet that trapped me in WallyWorld. It will be coming along too. I would put it it the truck now, but I am afraid I would not find it again until the Spring Churning, when I stir all of the camping/hiking/fishing/Skydiving gear in the back.

====> Get well first, Dave. I already told you we can go hang/camp using my gear (trust me on this, I have enough for us both!) whenever you are up for it this Spring! I will have 4-5 hammocks and a couple of sets of insulation available for you to play with.

Follow the hang craziness here in the meantime, and when the trip reports/videos start coming they should be epic!

    Safe, HEALTHY holidays, buddy!

Don't forget if you use Facebook we have a page on that too. Link is in my sig. That will probably be where a lot of the pictures turn up as it is easier to do there. Get well Dave.

Came down with a life altering illness and will be doing treatments for the foreseeable future. Was really looking forward to meeting you all too.

====> I sure hope they get posted here, as well! I do not have Facebook any more, nor do I want it. Canceled the account in August, and do not miss it at all! But I still have here, Dropzone.com, and BushcraftUSA to keep in touch.

===> Peter, I hope everything works out for you. Please remember that even if something can't be 'cured', it usually can be treated multiple ways, multiple times.

I'm not supposed to be here right now, but have been stubborn and also willing to do whatever it takes to fight back against two types of cancer and Diabetes for the past 17 years. There were some dark times, and some lost days, but there is still both time and more days for me!

Just saw my first grandchild born. The fights are worth it.

When you reach the very end of all the light you know, and are about to step off into the dark abyss, "Faith" is knowing that either there will be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught to fly.

    Pax, my best to you.

I ordered a 0° under quilt from Hammock Gear just before Christmas. I don't expect to see it before the hang. So I would like to see you set it up when you get it.

Just checked my e-mail nothing yet.

===> No problem, Veto! I just hope I can pick them up before the hang. If not, I also picked-up a 3 season TQ and UQ by HG here on the forum, and also have a full-length New River from Paul at AHE, and two CCF pads. Should be good either way! But I really hope I can get the new ones from Adam and Jenny. Both 0* with 2 oz of overstuff down. New England can get pretty chilly, and I am hoping to do a lot more winter camping this year- some of it in your neck of the woods in upstate NY!

    See ya at the hang!
