    Speaking of The Creeper...

The wife and I did the downhill thing a couple years back. I stopped at the big trestle to take pictures and my wife went ahead. When I tried to peddle away from the trestle my chain broke and took teeth off several gears (front and rear). I did my best Fred Flintstone Impersonation trying to catch her. When I finally did, we pulled the bikes off into the trees a bit so I could do repairs.

Lots of people rode past us and never noticed us there. You're probably good at many spots along the trail.

Wish I had a hammock with me that day!

Just remembered the Iron Mountain Trail

when I last did the IMT it was the AT...now you can do a loop using the two hiking/backpacking. But I don't remember how close it is to the Creeper---anyone got a map handy? I'm stuck in my cage at the moment; but if proximal it might yeild more CS's

The IMT is farthest north. The AT parallells just south. The Creeper is a bit further south still.

Last July I hiked the IMT south to Damascus, but decided to dovetail south on the FeatherCamp Creek Trail. Over the 2-mile trail, I crossed the AT just north of the paved road, crossed the road and hit the Creeper, taking it into Damascus.

I live right across the street from the Abingdon entrance, I usually go on the trail once a day. If anyone wants to group up and bike or walk the trail let me know, I don't know anyone else around here who wants to go on it.
