I brought up the hammock thing to the SO again. She said,"Sure,if you ever actually get us some hammocks,I'll give it a try."She was just humoring me.In a couple weeks when I show up with a hammock set up,she's going to go off and ask me if I am crazy for even attempting it and ask her to try it out.
Nothing to see here. Keep moving.

I think I see a H-Forum Christmas cookbook coming up with comments like "You know you are a real hammocker when..." It could be like this complete book of cook and Hang!

Hahahaha.... Very good. Having had two kidney stones last year I understand. Never had one on the trail, which is my nightmare. I know a guy that did have one on the AT, and I felt awful for him. For me the pain of it going from kidney to bladder was the worst. Peeing it out was no big deal.

And according to a physician I talked to, it actually does hurt more than childbirth, although for a shorter amount of time. It is the worst natural pain your body can experience (natural, as in torture can probably make you hurt a lot worse). So - your PCT comment is right on track.

My wife hates me being gone, which is probably a good sign. If she starts to want me gone, I'll have to start calling her when I'm getting close to being home. The "I'm coming home early" phone call has saved a lot of marriages...

If anyone needs marital counseling I am available and will charge only $100 an hour, which is worth every penny -- think of the kids!

Lucky here as well. The gf was supportive even before she tried a hammock out. Course she'll do a week in a tent so introducing her to the hammock was an easy one. She loves them and we'll probley hammock it on our usual tent camping trips from now on.

    Carry. Carry. Carry.
If it moves, you can eat it. No promises you will think it tastes good.
