    MAHHA house tour hammocks

How many people would like to put their hammocks on the house tour? Trying to get an idea of what people want to show off and how many hammocks we're gonna have to show off.

We'll being seeing some PapaSmurf setups. WV usually has something new and interesting. I'd love to see the JRB UL bridge. (Hint, hint Pan! ), the new Warbonnet bridge, any DIY setups made at a relatively low cost. Anyone going to bring these hammocks and want to show them off?

Medicineman, I'd like to see that cuben breathable tarp/sock combo if you have time to show it off.

Also, if you are going to show off a DIY hammock and want to post, picture, the specs and weights here so people can study up on them before hand, please feel free. Bring this info with you to the tour, because people will ask you for specifics during the tour.

Anyone can make a request for a certain type of hammock setup as well to see if anyone volunteers to show it.

Remember, house tour starts at 11 am at the campfire by my setup. It's easy to find, the hang site is not very big.

PS, thanks to Black Foot for asking me a few questions about the tour, reminding me that I needed to post this thread!

My son Dan who is a sophmore in college will be bringing a rig that he made entirely on his own this summer for ~ $100 in materials. That includes a DL 1.1 Gathered End Hammock, a Cat Cut Hex Tarp, DIY IX UQ, even the tree straps, whoopies, and toggles were hand-made.

I think he'd be excited to show it off and I think it's a great example of how you can put together a nice beginner setup on the cheap.
    see you on the trail,
    Mike

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I think I'd be more interested in BlackFoot's son Dan's rig than the Dirigible or Graf but I'll be in the Graf, Poof is bringing the Dirigible, so put them on the open house.
I'm also curious about seeing tarps used with the bridge hammocks and hoping someone must might have a tarp with 2 pole mods conestoga wagon style. We're scheduled for late night arrival Friday so who knows where we'll be hanging--somewhere in the dark I suppose.

I'll be setting up my JRB UL BMBH to sleep in, all are welcome to check it out, but I haven't read anything about "house tour". I was also thinking about doing an UL set-up for people to check out (Nano 7, Cuben MacCat, ETC.)

Great. Both setups if you can. Most of what you need to know about house tours is in first post on this thread. Post if you have other questions. We just go around as a group and let people talk about there setups and others ohhhhhh and awwwwwww and ask questions.

I could bring a tableclothfactory single and double layer, HH Expedition, Byer Moskito, BIAS DL and WWM. I'll be darned if I'll bring tarps for all those hammocks, though.
