    An insane idea!

OK! Iad this idea today! what if you combined a sleeping bag, hammock, Tarp into some sort of light weightish yet very easy to set up! i'm thinking this could revalutionize the hammock industry! my idea was to take a mummy bag! and since it's probably not strong enough to hold you modify it so it's a single peice hammock/bag thingy! but if thats not good enough it has a waterproof shell that can be detached and atached again with ease! this would make it easy to set up considering you get there find your tree atach and hang! but this device would also have to be easy to enter/exit, lightweight, & portable I know it's kind of far fetched!
Just wondering if this is do able or if i'm totaly a dreamer?!?!?!

Kinda of a bit like my deep winter rig. Use my sleeping bag over the hammock. Not my original idea but one I employ in big-time cold.

There is a thread here somewhere about this already, minus the tarp. I think it was a UK company? But it was basically a sleeping bag hammock for sale, I think it was almost $800.

The Panda Hammock was an attempt at a similar idea. It is no longer made.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Yeah but then you have to set up your tarp! we're going to get a pro "diy"er to make us one that you find a tree unpack "it" slap it on there and then do what ever else you have to do! it's genius yet ungenius!

you have to have the tarp/shell to make it your own! and if it's sucsesful "we" have to patent it and mass produce it! can you say "shark tank" all rights reserved...

Yep, it's definately do able. I have something like what you describe and love it. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up/break down and is successfully tested down to 45*. I'm sure with some experimentation, you will find your happy comfort zone, too.
