    Trail Work Base Camp

This is an old video before the bears took over the camp site. An individual was feeding 15 bears in the area so that they were not afraid of people. The cubs learn from the sow and so the problem continues even after the feeding was stopped.

LOVE that birch bark pack. Almost didn't see the spoons haha.
That is one luxury base camp setup.

    Also like the utensils pouch.

A real shame about the bears, some people just don't get it.
    Have sherpas, will travel...

The canvas tent plus two canvas tarps have been destroyed beyond repair by the bears. You no longer can set up and leave a base camp without protection so that trail work has become even more difficult and probably will not be completed.

Around here a fed bear is a dead bear. If they lose their fear of people, the state kills them, so feeding a bear is equal to giving them a death sentence.

A chuck box can make a great deal of difference for you are able to keep track and organize your gear so that you are not always looking for something that you just set down a minute ago and now has gone missing.

In WI, problem bears are relocated. The problem is in keeping up with the requests plus relocation often doesn't work out all that well.

That is a nice looking chuck box you have there. Are the legs attached?

The chuck box is on a table but it wouldn't be that difficult to make some sort of attachment for legs.
