The canvas tent plus two canvas tarps have been destroyed beyond repair by the bears. You no longer can set up and leave a base camp without protection so that trail work has become even more difficult and probably will not be completed.
Love that chuck box...thinking of building one my self.
Around here a fed bear is a dead bear. If they lose their fear of people, the state kills them, so feeding a bear is equal to giving them a death sentence.
A chuck box can make a great deal of difference for you are able to keep track and organize your gear so that you are not always looking for something that you just set down a minute ago and now has gone missing.Originally Posted by Kilo3
In WI, problem bears are relocated. The problem is in keeping up with the requests plus relocation often doesn't work out all that well.
That is a nice looking chuck box you have there. Are the legs attached?
Nice camp setup. Everything is right where you need it.
The chuck box is on a table but it wouldn't be that difficult to make some sort of attachment for legs.
