Which product to repair 70d tarp?

I was unlucky enough to have my tarp receive a few burn holes due to some friends over sized bonfire my trip this last weekend

i was reading a bunch of posts on the subject while searching and found lots on repairing the sil-nylon in which they used GE Silicone II + some scrap piece of material. Was wondering would this also work on my 70d nylon HH hex tarp? Also does it matter what piece of scrap i use, i know i have an old stuff sack that is nylon or sil-nylon. just not sure if there is much difference between the two. Help a adhesive noob out

The HH 70D Hex is a Polyurethane coated tarp rather than sil coated. You want Seam Grip rather than sil of any sort to patch it. LINK If the holes are smaller than a dime then just put the tarp over wax paper and slather on some Seam Grip and let cure. Sil may stick to start but would peal with use and time, Seam Grip will hold solid even over smaller holes for year.

A second option would be to just cover both sides of the holes with a small patch of Tenacious Tape (link)

Well Paul said everything I was going to say. I assume the holes are small enough to not require any thread injecting?

Hm the tenacious tape looks promising, plus they have it at my local REI according to the website.. thanks Paul!

Bubba not sure how big they need to be for thread injecting... below is a pic of the biggest whole with a double A battery for size reference

If you have the means, I'd get both the tape and the seam grip. You can them together to repair the multi hole area and they are good to have on hand for future in field repairs.
