PMI Utility Cordage

On impulse I purchased 100' of 2mm PMI Utility Cordage at our new REI the other day...my little mind thinking it would be great for my new found passion for hammock ridgelines.
On my scale 100' weighs 3.5 oz. and is 100% nylon.

Potential use...bag ties, drip strings, hammock ridgeline, zipper pulls, clothesline.

Maybe I should just use my current AMSTEEL 7/64 since it could double as a backup superstrong backup cord.


Can't find any feedback on the forum but just polling for user experience/opinions on usage, etc.

I use amsteel whoopies for ridgelines and it works well. I also use Speer No-Tangle and Zing-it which works quite well too.

What is the strength rating?

Cant find any specs on the 2mm but the 3mm is MBS: 1.8 kN (400 lbf). Whatever that means?

If the 2mm utility cord is the same as their accessory cord its specs are MBS: 0.7 kN (157 lbf

I would use it for everything except to support your body weight (hammock suspension).
