Not my best sewing effort, and I will do it differently on the next one, but I got it done. I took the suspension off my other DIY and stuck some reflectix between the layers and tried it out. Eleven feet is SWEET! The pad holds it open so I may be able to get my husband to sleep in this one. Especially on a night when we don't have to use a tarp. I'm sleeping in it tonight, though.

You might have to lower your tension setting a notch or two, that will probably help. Try it out on some scraps of the same material you are going to work with first.
Would it be possible to coat it as per the homemade silnylon sticky?
If I made a tarp, probably could, but I don't want to do that to my hammock. I was considering a tarp at first because I didn't buy the material I thought I was buying. My seams came out nice on the first SL hammock I made, but this one didn't come out as nicely. It is really comfy though.
