Interestingly, there were two of those trees down in the site. During the night a bull elk came into camp grunting and bugling for a fight. Eventually another bull answered in the meadow to the west of me and took off and rolled on of the logs about 3-4 feet when he took off. I tried to move the log the next morning and couldn't even budge it much less rock it. Amazing how much power those bulls have when they're in the rut.

Aah those are the trees I love. Was back in the NW this spring and found myself hugging Doug Firs....someday I'll get back there for good- its home! Welcome from NJ!
