    Any winter Algonquin hangs planned?

    Hi folks

I got my winter Yeti a week or so ago, and have a 0 degree burrow on the way. I know it can get cold in Algonquin in the winter, I've seen -40. Just wondering if there are any hangs planned for this winter. If so, let me know 'cause I'll be interested!

    Hey va3rbz,

Keep your eyes open for an EGL winter hang planning thread, probably back to Algonquin, in late January or Early February!!!!

Check out the trip report "Snowshoes Across Algonquin" on my tagline.

Of course our hammock brethren from south of the border are always welcome. This is the reason chard named it EGL (Eastern Great Lakes) and not Ontario Hammock hangers.

Venturing in Algonquin in -40 is definately a trip that requires solid gear and planning... I have ventured out for 3 - 4 day snow shoe trips in those temps into Algonquin...great time of year when prepared.... Sounds like a great trip...

Thanks! I love love love Algonquin! It's so beautiful up there. I've only been for a summer canoeing trip but I'd be pumped to get out on some of the trails and do some snowshoeing. -40 might be pushing it but I'm geared up for "normal" winter conditions. I will be glued to this thread now lol. That's a perfect time of year for me too.

I live an less than an hour from the park, I hunt deer close to the park but I've never been in it during the winter. I'd definitely be interested!
