I eat that to this day! My parents were English. I mash potatoes and then put in a can of corned beef and stir it around. Cheap and easy. Used to have steamed cabbage with it as well. My mom used to call it "Bubble and Squeek".
Gives me an idea about trying to dehydrate it for the trail.
Let us know how it turns out!
I'm used to making bubble and squeek with leftover ham or corned beef (after St. Pattys' day) but the idea of having it with a can of corned beef takes to seasonal limitations out of it.
If it works well for dehydrating it will add another dish to the 'dehydrated food repertoire' - the more choices the better!!
Loved the video! That really looked delicious!
The harmonica's a great "pack" instrument - stick with it!

"But hey, 2 trees anywhere is a bedroom waiting to happen, right?"
That was a tasty looking meal. Funny how everything cooked outdoors tastes better.
That looks like a filling meal. Thanks for sharing.

Thx for the compliments guys. Some people serve it with red cabbage too. Appreciate the praise for the harmonica guys I am only learning and have missed a few notes I think.
As someone once said :- I played all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order. LOL

I'm gonna have to write that recipe down, and use it for car camping...but first I'll try it at home...It looks too tasty not to.....I swear I should have been born British....but that is a different thread topic.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.
