    Haha Loved the intro!

The tarp I used on my thru-hike was pretty much that exact tarp except I have doors only on one side. It worked fantastic and help up strong for the whole trip.

Thanks for the fun video senor!

That tarp is on my long list of gear purchases. Right now I am enjoying my superfly. Great video and enjoy your new kit.

Well, if you get interested in rebuilding the slush fund, I might be interested in that Superfly if you decide to get rid of it.

    I loved your video.
And what was really great was you laying the cuben tarp over the Superfly for
    comparison.

    I was wondering.....

there was someone selling a cuben tarptent in the for sale section and they said "the cuben has softened". Anyone seen softened cuben? Is it good for extended hikes (meaning 2 months or more) ?

Thanks! As far as softening ... I've been taking the stuff sack and crushing it off and on for a few days now to see how Cuben does just that. It gets softer than when it was brand new and a little stiff but it still sheds water. Long term .... someone else will need to chime in on that but Shug's been using his pretty hot and heavy as has TZBrown ... and so far I don't think they've had any issues.

+1 I thought the same thing, I wonder if it is similar to tyvek in its softening, yet still retains it water repellency?

    also,
I loved the mesh skins Syb made for me for my tarp....allows any water to wick off if I had to pack it up wet.
